Seamstresses from independent furniture manufacturers to-the-stars launch 20-week care pack campaign for key workers

The team from Honey I’m Home a luxury furniture manufacturer based in Manchester, has started a 20-week campaign to distribute Honey Care Packs to regional health and key-worker businesses.

The independent business that designs and manufactures bespoke sofas, includes a number of talented upholsterers and seamstresses who have made hand-made pink silk reusable face masks. The face masks include a filter, are fully washable and reusable and are suitable for using going to and from work and out and about in the community.

The Honey Care Pack pack also includes pink hand gel, pink gloves, vitamins, chocolate, beauty products, reusable drinks cups and a full three-hundred pound voucher to spend in store (not against higher priced items).

Honey I’m Home, which is owned and run by Madddison Santamaria, has a long list of celebrity customers including Tyson Fury, Manchester rapper Aitch and TV reality stars including Charlotte Crosby and Danni and Danny Dyer. The talented team have turned their hand to mask making designed and assembling care packs when their manufacturing business was forced to close down temporarily due to COVID-19.

It takes a day to create 20 facemasks and the team plan to assemble 20 weekly care pack drops with an investment of £5k each time in total while the UK is still in lockdown.

Honey I’m Home’s CEO Maddison Santamaria aged 27 wanted to give back something to people working on Greater Manchester’s health frontlines and key workers during the company’s downtime and the neonatal unit at North Manchester General was chosen to launch the campaign as they saved the lives of Ms Santamaria’s twin daughters, who were born there prematurely three years ago. The twins were born nine weeks early and had to stay on ventilators in intensive care for a number of weeks.

Honey I’m Home would like to hear from people wishing to nominate other health organisations and key workers to receive Honey Care Packs. To get in touch, people are asked to message through the company’s instagram account.
