Mansfield based Almshouse charity partners with revolutionary technology company
Brunts Charity has announced it has partnered with a tech company to support it to keep residents safe and manage its gas servicing process.
The partnership is the first time Gas Tag has been procured by a charity and will see the Liverpool based organisation’s technology installed in Brunt’s 153 Almshouse properties. Brunts Charity provides low-cost housing across three central locations in Mansfield and promotes independent living within a safeguarding environment.
Each of the charity’s properties is maintained to a high standard and includes several safety features, such as a 24-hour emergency call, lifeline system, CCTV and onsite emergency warden service. The installation of Gas Tag will support the charity’s management information systems with compliance and assurance measures by enabling it to monitor and manage its gas safety in real-time.
By law, all landlords across the UK are required to carry out annual gas safety checks but the current paper-based model is inefficient and time-consuming. Gas Tag moves this system into the digital age, offering complete transparency to Brunts Charity and its contractor, Henman Dunn Limited.
The Gas Tag platform also provides an important extra level of safeguarding protection for all residents as it can only be used by qualified Gas Safe Registered Engineers.
Paul Williams, Operations Director at Brunts Charity, said: “We are really excited to be implementing Gas Tag’s revolutionary product across our organisation.
“Safeguarding, compliance and our residents’ well-being are the charity’s top priorities and Gas Tag’s real-time management system will provide us with greater assurance and oversight.
“We are looking forward to working with Gas Tag to and developing a positive partnership that will support us to provide a safer environment for our vulnerable elderly residents to live independently.
Matt Stephenson, Business Development Manager at Gas Tag, said: “We are delighted to welcome Brunts into the Gas Tag family.
“Brunts is the first Almhouse charity to implement our gas compliance software and we are looking forward to supporting it with its efforts to provide homes safe for vulnerable elderly residents.”
