Sky-House Co bringing design excellence to Stocksbridge
FRESH plans are being submitted to Sheffield Council for the redevelopment of the landmark Peggy Tub site in Stocksbridge.
Sky-House Co is working with the team at CODA Planning for the application which would see the creation of seven three-bedroom town houses - all with their own terraces and parking spaces - on the site of the former social club in New Road.
The once popular venue finally closed in 2015, the victim of changing times and drinking habits.
Architects at award-winning Sheffield multi disciplinary practice CODA Studios have created the latest phase of the acclaimed Sky-House concept specifically for the site, which is close to the acclaimed Fox Valley retail development.
Sky-House’s 21st century take on back-to-back housing creates sensitively dense, beautiful and naturally eco-friendly homes complete with their signature roof gardens, terraces and expansive windows.
“We have been overwhelmed by the phenomenal response to Sky-House and delighted at the way the concept is now spreading throughout South Yorkshire,” said Sky-House Co co-founder David Cross.
“Sky-House is already coming to the former British Tissues site in Oughtibridge and we are really pleased to see this second smaller site in Stocksbridge going before the planners.
“We believe that these final plans provide the best possible use for the site, bringing much needed new housing stock for this growing and increasingly popular north Sheffield community.”
