Legal & General gets green light for 154 new modular homes

The modular homes division of Legal & General has obtained planning consent for a new 154-home development in North Yorkshire.

Legal & General Modular Homes has secured permission to deliver 154 new homes using modular construction at an eight-acre site on Portholme Road in Selby.

Comprising up to 30 per cent affordable housing, the Portholme Road scheme will be developed on the site of the former Selby civic centre, which has been vacant for seven years.

Delivering a mix of terraced houses and low-rise apartments, the development will provide up to 130 jobs across the supply chain, and will see the modular construction specialist recruit a further 50 employees to support the scheme.
