National Express set to restart UK journeys from July
Public transport company National Express Group has confirmed plans to restart UK journeys from July.
In a brief trading update this morning, the group has said it has started selling tickets for journeys in a core coach network from July 1.
The Birmingham-headquartered firm reported a 50 per cent revenue decrease for April compared with the same period in 2019.
However, a £100m reduction in monthly operating costs has generated EBITDA ahead of the group’s expectations.
In addition, National Express Group has boosted its liquidity with around £1.5bn of cash and undrawn facilities available.
The group has also been boosted by its international performance, including winning a 5-year contract to provide services for national firm North American School Bus.
