Garbutt + Elliott celebrates national award win on the back of significant growth and investment
Leeds and York accountancy, advisory and audit firm Garbutt + Elliott, is celebrating after scooping a top accolade at the national Tolley’s Taxation Awards 2020, after achieving a record breaking year of growth.
Garbutt + Elliott was named Best Tax Practice in a Regional Firm, beating off stiff competition, after achieving an impressive organic turnover growth of 28% last year. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the awards ceremony was held virtually for the first time since its launch in 2001. The awards are highly sought-after by UK tax professionals because they recognise excellence within the UK tax sector. In presenting the award, the judges said that the Garbutt + Elliott team demonstrated “all round excellence with a strong commitment to businesses in their local area and to the profession as a whole”.
Becky Maguire, Tax Partner at Garbutt + Elliott said: “We have an outstanding team of tax professionals who are committed to delivering amazing work for our clients and I am thrilled this has been recognised at the Tolley’s Taxation awards. Our ongoing investment in the size and quality of the team has boosted an already solid foundation and we are well placed to continue to grow and achieve more success in the years to come.
Our focus remains on supporting our customers and this is more important than ever during this period of economic uncertainty as we all work together to understand and manage the financial and personal impact of Coronavirus. Our strong multi-disciplinary team can handle a wide variety of tax compliance and complex advisory work. These strengths are coming to the fore as we support Yorkshire business owners during this pandemic, providing essential guidance as well as access to a COVID-19 Hub that contains essential information accessing financial support, understanding the government schemes and support for business owners on running their business during this period.“
