North East housing firm reveals plans to build 145 new Middlesbrough homes
A North East housing company has announced plans to build nearly 150 homes in Middlesbrough.
Thirteen, which owns and manages nearly 34,000 houses in the North East, has submitted a planning application to build 145 new homes at Gresham in Middlesbrough.
The new homes, which will be two, three and four bedrooms and a mix of houses, apartments and bungalows, are planned on land between Diamond Road and Union Street.
Subject to planning approval being secured, Thirteen aims to start work on the new homes early in 2021.
Ian Wardle, Thirteen’s chief executive, commented: “Gresham has an amazing community spirit and subject to planning approval we’re really looking forward to working with Middlesbrough Council and Homes England on delivering these great long-awaited new homes.
“With strong access links to the town centre and within walking distance to all of the key amenities we know there will be demand for these modern affordable homes.”
