Evides Industriewater launches in the UK

One of Europe’s largest industrial water companies – Evides Industriewater - has opened a UK base as the company looks to strengthen its position in existing markets and open up new opportunities. Based in Rotterdam, Evides Industriewater has carved a reputation as one of Europe’s leading industrial water companies through innovative approaches to wastewater treatment and water reuse and boasts clients including Dow Chemicals as part of its successful portfolio. Now looking to capitalise on this knowledge and expertise, the Dutch company has decided to open a UK base and transfer its skill set into this market space. Speaking about the decision, Colin Robinson, Director of Business Development for the UK Operation said: “Evides Industriewater has an unrivalled reputation across Europe for delivering some of the most innovative and forward thinking solutions for supplying the needs of the largest industrial users.
“The company has now made the bold decision to enter the UK market with this offering and to focus our expertise across the industries we know best.” For the Evides UK business this focuses on industries using vast amounts of water and where wastewater has complex treatment needs. This includes industries such as Pharmaceutical, Steel and Petrochemical together with the Food and Beverage and Energy sectors including carbon capture and storage. The move into the UK market also comes on the back of final stage talks with some of these industries leading players who – in the coming months – will be announcing their engagement with Evides UK for their water and wastewater treatment. “Our move into the UK market is not just about moving into the industry sectors we already know, it’s also about taking advantage of opportunities that we have been presented with and which we are confident will make Evides Industriewater as successful in the UK as it is across the rest of Europe. “We will be announcing these exciting opportunities as we progress them, as well as focusing on building our UK presence sustainably,” added Colin. Evides Industriewater has been operating in Rotterdam since 1968. The company prides itself on providing an entire water cycle for its industrial clients that improves the efficiency of business processes, reduces environmental impact and significantly reduces operational risk. Evides Industriewater supplies 100.3 million m³ of process water and purifies 98.8 million m³ of wastewater every year.
The company boasts clients including BASF, Royal Dutch Shell, Huntsman and AkzoNobel amongst its extensive customer base and – on behalf of these – Evides Industriewater operates 77 water treatment, wastewater treatment and water reuse plants across Europe.
