First phase of 'landmark' £55m Tees Advanced Manufacturing Park completes
Construction of the first phase of a ‘landmark’ multi-million pound industrial development in Tees Valley has completed.
Regeneration specialist Chaloner has achieved practical completion on Phase One of the Tees Advanced Manufacturing Park (TeesAMP).
Situated adjacent to Riverside Park industrial development on the southern bank of the River Tees, the 180,000 sq ft first phase is now ready for occupation.
Chaloner Group has developed the site in partnership with Middlesbrough Council and Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA) in a bid to attract inward investment and boost job creation in the area.
Plans are currently in place to begin the design programme for Phase Two, which will cover 100,000 sq ft.
Geoff Hogg, chief executive of Chaloner Group, commented: “We are exceptionally proud to have led the delivery of Phase One of the TeesAMP, which sets the standard for high quality manufacturing facilities in the region.
“Reaching practical completion is a major milestone for the project in readiness for the first occupiers moving in.
“The interest in the TeesAMP from the manufacturing sector has been considerable with around 70 percent of the space likely to be taken in the near future, which gives us confidence to embark on Phase Two soon.”
