North East creative & digital agency launches £50k 'business lifeline’ fund for the region
A North East creative and digital agency has pledged tens of thousands to support local businesses who have been affected by COVID-19.
Family business Blumilk has launched the Covid19 £50K Business Rebuild Fund in order to help firms across the region who have experienced disruption as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.
Founded by brothers Col and Adam Robertson over 20 years ago, the Ouseburn-based business experienced ‘record’ first and second quarters despite the pandemic, and has kept its staff un-furloughed throughout the lockdown.
Lauren Hindhaugh, client director for Blumilk, commented: “This is one of the biggest challenges that our nation has ever faced and we have to pull together.
“We need to spread the word and let businesses in our region know that we are here to help. We have made the fund really easy to apply to, for any North East based business who is in need of extra help and support.”
Blumilk co-founder Adam Robertson added: “I am so proud of our every one of our team and to have spent what has been the worst few months for the whole world, working to try to help keep the North East business community going, is something we will never forget.
“We just need to spread the word that we are here to help.”
