Yorkshire hotel to close permanently following coronavirus lockdown

A Yorkshire hotel has announced that it will not be reopening its doors after lockdown restrictions are lifted.

Best Western Willerby Manor Hotel closed earlier this year when the government imposed lockdown across the UK to help safeguard people against coronavirus.

After three months, the company has now said that it will permanently close as its owners have made the decision not to reopen.

It has not confirmed how many jobs will be lost as a result of the closure.

The Willerby Manor team commented: “It is with sincere regret that we inform you that The Willerby Manor Hotel and Healthclub will be permanently closing.

“This has not been an easy decision and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

“Our immediate priority is to contact all customers individually who have existing reservations, events and healthclub memberships at the hotel.

“Please note that all customers who have paid deposits, accommodation in advance or healthclub memberships in advance that we have been unable to fulfil, will receive a refund.

“Please bear with us while we work though the task in hand, but rest assured we will contact you individually as soon as possible.

“Our commitment to providing customers with the best service and support during this extremely difficult time still stands, therefore please feel free to contact us with any queries you may have.”
