North East housing company starts work on first Harrogate development
A North East housing company has announced that plans for its first Harrogate development are taking a step forward.
Watling Grange, a £110m development, is being constructed by Persona Homes and is using an unusual method to showcase the project - a scale model of the houses.
The development is being marketed by the land and new homes department of Yorkshire estate agency, Linley & Simpson, and is a collection of 350 homes.
It’s situated off the main A59 Harrogate to Skipton road on former agricultural land.
David Waddington, director of land and new homes at Linley & Simpson, commented: “We are really excited to be partnering Persona in their first major Harrogate development.
“Earlier in the year, Persona commissioned the building of a scale model of Watling Grange, so prospective purchasers can view the whole site – in miniature – as it will look on completion.
“Located in our Harrogate new homes showroom, it shows the exact location of each house in relation to its neighbours, and where it sits within the development.
“It’s this model development that we are opening to the public this weekend, and those who come and inspect it will be invited to a special preview of the full-scale site a week later.”
