CMS to recruit gas and heating engineers to support its team covering the North West and West Midlands

Commercial Maintenance Services (CMS) UK Ltd is seeking to recruit two qualified gas and heating engineers to complement its team covering the North West and West Midlands.

The company, which provides a nationwide service installing, maintaining, and repairing business-critical infrastructure, recently announced a significant contracts win with Britain’s largest care home provider, HC1 and the Co-operative Group, plus additional work with long-standing client, Four Seasons Health Care.

It works with a wide range of blue-chip companies throughout the country, primarily in the retail, commercial and healthcare sectors.

CMS, which also provides a 24-hour repair service, operates several engineering hubs to ensure a quick and efficient response. The West Midlands hub covers an area stretching from south of Birmingham to the north of Manchester.

The ideal candidates will be expected to carry out all works associated with the installation, testing, servicing, repair, maintenance, and commissioning of all heating and plumbing services - both as part of a team or working alone. Its staff are all directly employed, and it does not use sub-contractors.

The company, which is marking its 20th anniversary, was founded in 2000 by engineer Neil Smith, who was later joined by his brother Nic.

Nic Smith, managing director, said: “CMS is a family-run firm which seeks to attract the most talented and skilled gas and heating engineers, which is why we pay above market rate salaries and are committed to supporting our workforce in terms of training and skill development.

“As a successful company that has continued working throughout the lockdown period, we are seeking to appoint two engineers to support our North West/West Midlands hub as part of our long-term growth plans.”
