Australian skateboarding brand announces new East London base
An Australian skateboarding brand has announced that it will be setting up a new base in London.
Here East, an East London tech and innovation campus, has confirmed that Evolve Skateboards has chosen it as the home for its new London base.
Evolve will bring to East London its approach to e-skateboards and a micro-mobility solution.
It will be selling, servicing and distributing its skateboards at Here East, and will be offering product demos and test rides on campus.
Gavin Poole, CEO of Here East, commented: “Innovation in the electric and micro-mobility space is a key focus at Here East.
“We are thrilled that Evolve has chosen to come and join us as their London base. As a campus, we are able to offer both the studio space for the company, and the outdoor recreation space that will allow customers to experience Evolve right on their doorstep.
“Having the right environment for creative businesses and understanding what they need is central to our work.
“We look forward to welcoming the Evolve team, and we hope skaters of all abilities and non-skaters alike come to Here East and enjoy what Evolve has to offer.”
Jeff Anning, Evolve founder added: “Our team first experienced Here East as patrons of the Four Quarters arcade bar and absolutely loved the atmosphere, so when the time came to move the business the decision was easy.
“In the 6 years Evolve Skateboards has been in the UK we have never had the opportunity to operate in such an inspiring retail environment.
“As our brand is a global leader in personal electric mobility we believe working amongst the innovators and visionaries of Here East will be an exciting change in pace and a perfect fit for Evolve.”
