A brand new Lincoln retail unit taken on by growing bathroom brand, creating six jobs
A brand new, 4,000 sq. ft. industrial unit at Bishops Trade Park, which was leased by Barks Long & Co, has been let-out and renovated by growing bathroom retailer, Easy Bathrooms. The acquisition of the store is part of the firm’s plan to be the UK’s number-one bathroom brand.
Creating six jobs, Easy Bathrooms has invested £100,000 into the 3,500 sq. ft. retail space, installing more than 100 fully-tiled, inspirational displays.
The new store, which opened just before the Covid-19 lockdown, is open seven days a week, from 8am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm on Saturdays and 10am-4pm on Sundays.
Lisa Holland, manager at the Bedford store, said: “The new outlet is creating in the region of six jobs, including showroom staff, counter staff and a driver.
“Lincoln is a popular destination and we are bringing a range of quality bathroom and tile products to the area for both public and trade customers. We’re encouraging local traders to visit the store, meet our team and drop off their business cards.
“Customers will be able to see our large, spacious showroom and fully-tiled displays for inspiration. They’ll also have access to our design services, which can be done remotely in the current climate.”
Easy Bathrooms offers its own-brand ‘affordable luxury’ products, such as bathroom furniture, designer radiators, walk-in showers, freestanding baths and mirrors. It also sells an extensive range of tiles for all rooms of the home, with options including interior design-led ranges such as large-format, wood-effect and marble-effect.
William Wall of Banks Long & Co said: “We are pleased to welcome Easy Bathrooms to Bishops Trade Park, where it has moved into the first phase of this sizeable development. Ultimately, the trade park, which is firing the interest of companies keen to have trade counter or light industrial units, holds the promise of creating 450 jobs for the local economy.”
