Plans approved for 75 home "inclusive" London development
Plans have been approved for the construction of a new mixed use development in London.
Haringey Council has approved plans designed by PRP for a mixed use development along Caxton Road and Mayes Road in Wood Green, London.
The development, which is on a site that has been disused for 14 years, will include housing, commercial space, maker studios and shared resident amenities.
It will provide 75 homes, with 39 per cent being affordable homes either for London affordable rent and shared ownership.
Craig Sheach, partner at PRP, commented: “We have worked extensively with Aitch Group, Haringey Council, and the local community to produce a design that is truly inclusive and equitable for all.
“We are particularly pleased with providing a high-density development with all homes with dual or triple aspects.
“Whilst the architectural language of the building is bold, its roots are located within the context of Wood Green.
Luke Cadman, associate planning director at Aitch Group, added: “We’re delighted that the planning application process has reached a successful conclusion as Caxton Road will be a key driver of growth and opportunity for the wider Wood Green area.
“The collaboration and teamwork between Aitch Group, PRP and Haringey Council over the past year to enable this decision has been fantastic and we look forward to hitting the next milestone.”
