Mid-century style hotel coming to Coventry starts recruitment process
The new Mid-century style four-star hotel coming to Coventry has started hiring its key senior staff ahead of opening later this year. The design-led Telegraph Hotel, which is being developed by Complex Development Projects (CDP) and will be operated by Bespoke Hotels, is recruiting for six head of department roles as it prepares to open later this year. The boutique hotel, which is located in the former premises of the Coventry Evening Telegraph overlooking Belgrade Square, is hiring a Head Chef, Finance Manager, Maintenance Manager and Reception Manager.
The hotel is also recruiting for a Food and Beverage Manager to run the Forme & Chase Restaurant and Generators rooftop bar and a Deputy General Manager to help with the overall running of the Telegraph Hotel. The hotel will have a cocktail bar, rooftop bar, restaurant, meeting and conference facilities. Its 88 bedrooms include duplex suites, all highlighting the originally aspects of the 1950s architecture of the iconic building. The hotel has already appointed Amy Windsor, who has over 25 years’ worth of experience in the industry, as its General Manager. She said: “As we move forward towards the opening of the hotel later this year, we are looking to appoint the head of department roles, ahead of a wider recruitment drive for the remaining vacancies at the hotel.
“We are looking for the best candidates for each role to work with us as we open what will be the finest hotel in the city, assisting us in all areas from finance and maintenance through to sales and food and beverage. “Bespoke Hotels manages more than 70 hotels with 8,000 employees, so the successful candidates will become a part of a global team, as well as a local one. “This hotel is opening at a major time in the history of the city with the national spotlight on UK City of Culture 2021. We need a top team in place now to help us to creative and exception and unique experience for the city’s visitors. “We have already had a very encouraging level of inquiries for bookings so the successful candidates will be busy getting everything ready ahead of opening later this year.”
