NG reaffirms commitment to youth with Graduate Surveyor hire

One of the rising stars of the East Midlands commercial property sector is re-joining NG Chartered Surveyors after finishing her studies.

Charlotte Steggles is back with the Nottingham firm on a full-time basis after completing a successful placement over the summer of 2019 having secured a first class honours degree from Nottingham Trent University

Charlotte will join NG as a Graduate Surveyor and will work towards completing her professional qualifications under the guidance of director and mentor Sunny Landa. Her appointment reaffirms NG’s commitment to employing the best young commercial property talent in the East Midlands.

Charlotte said: “Graduating in 2020 wasn’t quite what I was expecting. Even though I haven’t managed to have all the celebrations, securing a job at NG has been a huge relief and now I can’t wait to see what the future brings.

“It’s a great feeling to be back! After finishing my placement with NG last summer it’s been a busy year, but I have kept involved with the team often popping in for a cup of tea and seeing what was going on. I am so glad to be back with the team.”

Charlotte thinks that it’s an exciting time to be at NG. The firm is implementing the use of new technology into the company including the new 360-degree tours on its entire portfolio.

She added: “NG are a firm with a really modern outlook on life and on business. For me. it’s great to have role models and mentors who I can learn from.”

Sunny Landa added: “Charlotte impressed us so much during her first spell with us last year that it was a no-brainer to ask her back on a more permanent basis. Her enthusiasm will help the team as we emerge from lockdown as we push out our Virtual Tour software. I’m looking forward to helping her work towards becoming a fully-fledged chartered surveyor.”

Looking to the future, Charlotte said: “It’s impossible to predict how the next year will play out but for us at NG we are optimistic about what the future brings. On a personal level my goal is to start the next phase in my training and become a Chartered Surveyor. It is great to have the support of Sunny and Richard who are helping me prepare, learn and develop in order to reach this goal.

“I am so grateful to be back working within this amazing team.”
