Leeds businesses to benefit from new flexible workspace
A disused former warehouse in Leeds City Centre will be transformed into high quality offices after being acquired by a flexible workspace provider.
Wizu Workspace has purchased the 8,000 sq ft, Grade II listed building at 46 Park Place, and has appointed Kudos Interior Design to refurbish the space into a range of boutique-style offices to home businesses and entrepreneurs seeking a central Leeds location.
Park Place dates back to 1870 when, together with number 42 and 44, it was run as a warehouse. It is Wizu Workspace’s third design-led flexible space in Leeds and is due to open in September.
Tom Almas, CEO at Wizu Workspace said: “46 Park Place is in one of the most premium parts of central Leeds and is part of a thriving part of town, so we couldn’t wait to invest in its future. The building has so much potential to be a thriving workspace supporting businesses across the city.
“Leeds is such a beautiful city with so many hidden gems and what we are trying to do at each of our workspaces is compliment that history and accentuate each building’s natural features through our design.”
Natasha Babar Evans, COO at Wizu Workspace added: “Since first investing in the future of Leeds in 2016, we’ve had the pleasure of witnessing individuals and SMEs grow within our workspaces.
“We recognised the increased demand for flexible working that the COVID-19 pandemic brought about and felt there was an opportunity to create a new space that also appealed to some of the larger businesses who were making changes to their working model.
“Park Place felt like the perfect building to do this given its premium location, exterior elegance and sophisticated interior design scheme.”
