Yorkshire startup owners launch online business community

A Yorkshire startup has launched a peer-to-peer community to enable business professionals to network virtually.

Meeow puts four like-minded business-people together at random, allowing them to maintain social distancing and network over video link from their own homes or offices.

Chris Rabbitt, Meeow’s founder, commented: “Meeow is very much a product of the constraints imposed in response to COVID-19. We appreciate the struggles businesses face and we wanted to create a unique solution to networking in the ‘new normal’.”

Meeow already has more than 600 members and facilitates over 30 hours of business networking a week across all industry sectors. It is currently free but is soon to become a paid subscription service.

Chris continued: “We feel that the business opportunities and commercial benefits of business networking should not be lost in the current climate.

“We’ve been told that attending Meeow meetings helps enormously with mental health, reducing the feeling of isolation that comes with social distancing”.
