Keeping Britain Going During Lockdown… UKCM Supports Key Workers

Winsford-based UKCM has proudly supported its customers and key workers throughout the lockdown period, continuing to provide essential waste container maintenance and delivery alongside morale-boosting donations.

Despite the challenges presented and like many other businesses, having no alternative but to operate with a scaled-back workforce during full lockdown, the waste container refurbishment specialists have been tireless in their efforts to keep Britain going throughout the challenging times. Through working with waste management companies, local authorities and councils across the UK, the team has ensured that key worker sites such as hospitals and schools, have remained fully operational and safe with the continued supply of bins and containers.

In addition to supporting frontline staff in the A & E Department and Intensive Care Unit at Macclesfield General Hospital with donations of refreshments such as soft drinks, fruit, pastries and cakes, UKCM has also shown their appreciation to those working behind the scenes. A bountiful bundle of confectionary was donated to fuel the Cheshire East Council Waste Management team workforce, who have continued to safely remove household and medical waste during lockdown.

Richard Delooze, Sales Director at UKCM, commented, “It has been our number one priority to keep businesses up and running with essential bin deliveries and maintenance during this unprecedented and tough time. However, we also wanted to boost the spirits of key workers in our community and give a something back to show our appreciation. We are incredibly grateful to our wonderful NHS, and the unsung heroes of the waste sector and other industries that work behind the scenes.

UKCM is now busy making sure they are all set for a predicted rise in demand for bin deliveries over the coming months, as more and more businesses start to reopen.
