London eco restaurant's funding round reaches 210% of target in less than an hour

A London restaurant which focuses on plant-based foods has surpassed its funding target by more than 100 per cent in less than an hour.

Stem & Glory launched its funding round today, aiming to raise £40k for its new Covid secure site in Cambridge.

However, after less than an hour it had already raised £80k, reaching 210 per cent of its target.

The new Cambridge venue was developed throughout lockdown as the business pivoted its focus.

Louise Palmer Masterton, founder of Stem & Glory, commented: “Our supporters have backed us from the beginning helping to turn the business into what it is today. Stem & Glory is a community owned business and our 1000 strong investor community have stuck by us all the way.

“We are on a mission to disrupt both the world of plant-based food and the traditional hospitality model.

“Our new omnichannel business model is not only innovative, but will also help pave the way for healthier and more conscious ways of living.”
