Savills equipped to support property growth with expansion to Newcastle Helix

A real estate advisory has expanded its North East footprint amidst predictions that house prices in the region will soar by 20 per cent.

Savills will relocate from Grey Street in Newcastle to 3,000 sq ft of space at The Lumen at Newcastle Helix - a 24-acre sustainable development that promotes community innovation - once fit-outs have completed in the Autumn.

The expansion comes following forecasts from the company that house prices will increase by five times the 4 per cent predicted growth in London, and above the UK average of 15.1 per cent, by 2025.

Savills’ new office will be led by directors Neil Morton, Ray Minto and Roger Speirs who oversee the planning, development and valuation teams respectively. It will be complemented by the rural team, which is led by directors Michael Orde and Mark Watt.
