Pharmaceutical manufacturer triples operation with Yorkshire HQ move
An international pharmaceutical equipment manufacturer is tripling its production capacity with a move from Dewsbury to a facility in Birstall.
Azbil Telstar UK Ltd (Telstar) will relocate to Hawthorne House on Dark Lane, following a formal agreement negotiated by Carter Towler.
The Spanish-owned company, which has operations in over 100 countries, designs and manufactures containment and aseptic isolator systems for worldwide pharmaceutical, biotech and cell therapy companies.
The new premises offers offices across two storeys within a large warehouse, as well as a reception area, meeting areas, canteen and loading bays.
Neil Street, Telstar director and country general manager, said: “Demand for our equipment from all across the life sciences sector has been increasing for a prolonged period, highlighting the need to relocate to new premises with increased production capacity in order to support our global customer base.
“Hawthorne House is an impressive, prominently positioned building with the extra space we need, and is close enough to our previous operation so that we can retain our excellent, highly trained and experienced employees.”
Josh Holmes, director at Carter Towler, added: “Hawthorne House is an attractive, well-appointed commercial property that will make a very fitting UK HQ for Telstar’s expansion plans.”
