Peleman Industries - The Story of an Evolving Market and How we Changed

Since 1979, Peleman has specialised in the design, development and worldwide distribution of solutions for printed presentations and photographs. Initially under the brand name Unibind and with a focus on document binding.

In 2008, the market changed and so did we. We had to evolve at the same pace as our market and started offering additional products, from photo panels, a book that combines paper with video, solutions for the graphics market and even beautifully presented boxes.

What we found was we had begun to evolve from binding to branding, today we help our customers build a stronger corporate image. We make sure they have more than just beautiful documents to hand to their customers. We offer the complete personal, customised message with their own corporate look and feel.

In 2019 we moved from Unibind to Peleman branding, an identity that is a nod to our core values of a locally anchored family business that acts with respect for tradition and experience. It also underlines our ambition to become a total solution supplier in the world of presentation and photo solutions. 

Innovation has always been part of the DNA and with a presence in over 120 countries, our continuous drive and worldwide patents, we have become an industry leader.  

Also, in 2019 we entered the consumer market by opening a concept store in Valencia (Spain). The Mr. & Mrs. Peleman concept store is more than just a store, it’s an experience, because when it really matters, people still prefer tangible presentations or photo memories. At those crucial moments in life like the birth of a child or the day you get married and even when closing ‘epic deals’, this is what makes the difference between being informed or being impressed.

By making these products and technologies accessible to everyone, customers are now in control. It allows them to become creative storytellers of their own photos and presentations.    This year, with the arrival of the pandemic we had to adapt quickly, while certain industries labored, the Photo gifts market bloomed, and we introduced the Photo Kiosks from Peleman. The fact that customers can print photos at a kiosk from their phones is not anything new. What is new is that they can now immediately choose to stick their photos in a photo book or on a photo panel or magnet. By offering hip and trendy products, we have made it easy for our customers to step out of a store with a complete customised photo gift and a feeling of satisfaction.

By entering the retail market, we wanted to make a tribute to the colours of the world. Peleman introduced our first exclusive collection: Human Colours. Comprising of a Notebook, Agenda and Photo Book which you can personalise as much as you like by sticking in photo’s, memories, tickets, business cards or just about anything that matters.
