£12m 'state-of-the-art' care home to be opened in Northumberland
A £12m ‘state-of-the-art’ care home is set to be unveiled in Northumberland next week.
Beech Tree House, at Lisburn Terrace in Alnwick, will be officially opened by the Duchess of Northumberland on Monday (21 September).
The house is the latest addition to the Prestwick Care portfolio of residential homes, and has created 100 jobs in the area.
The company is also set to open three further homes across the North East later this year.
Bunty Malhotra, CEO of Prestwick Care, said the company “is very proud to have been able to create this much needed facility for the people of Alnwick and the surrounding county of Northumberland.”
He added: “We are absolutely committed to serving the people of Alnwick and its surrounding communities.
“Ours is a family business, and the concept of family is completely ingrained in everything we do.
“To that end, the welfare of our residents – especially during the current Covid-19 pandemic – is paramount.”
