Wakefield industrial automation firm accelerates global expansion with US presence
A Yorkshire-based industrial automation specialist has continued its global expansion with a presence in the US.
Wakefield firm Sewtec Automation has accelerated its international growth with the appointments of a US-based sales agent.
Tom Elliott has joined the company as its first US sales agent, working from his base in Massachusetts to expand Sewtec’s stateside footprint.
With over 25 years of experience of selling industrial automation solutions to national and international organisations, Tom will support the firm’s international expansion as well as offer the first on-the-ground support for its existing US customers.
Sewtec Automation’s head of sales, Andy Perks, explained: “Our expansion into the USA is key to the success of our ongoing global growth strategy.
“As such, it is vital that Tom is able to give us a much-needed presence in North America to offer vital support to existing and potential customers.
“Tom’s experience of matching complex industrial automation systems to specific client requirements will be a real asset as we look to boost our presence in a number of rapidly growing sectors.”
Tom added: “The requirements for automation in the manufacturing and packaging industries is growing at a rapid rate.
“I am excited to partner with Sewtec Automation to further enable the business to source opportunities while inventing and delivering effective industrial automation solutions in the USA.”
