Steamhaus hits record turnover as it celebrates fifth anniversary
Cloud and DevOps consultancy, Steamhaus is celebrating its fifth birthday and a record year of growth, with a turnover of £2.02m, up 150% on 2019.
Set up by Daniel Faraday-Foster in 2015, the business has secured more than 50 new client wins in 2020 with the likes of Eve Sleep, Travelodge and Halfords amongst its customers.
Responding to the surge in new business, Steamhaus has taken on five new hires in the past 12 months, three of which have been made during the pandemic.
Based in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, Steamhaus now employs 20 people and exists to fill the technical and customer service void that prevents companies from exploiting the potential of a cloud-based infrastructure.
Since opening its doors, the business has been recognised for various accolades including being listed as one of Real Business’ Top 25 SME Culture Leaders. Earlier this year, CTO Rob Greenwood also became an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Ambassador – one of only 27 in EMEA.
Daniel Faraday-Foster, MD at Steamhaus, said: ’’Hitting the five year mark feels like the start of a really significant chapter as we move away from being a start-up and take our next steps as an established business.
’‘We have built fantastic relationships with local and global brands and I am consistently impressed by the work the team does. But what I’m most proud of is the culture we have developed and the company we have become over the last five years.
’‘I’ve always placed a huge emphasis on creating a team that isn’t just made up of co-workers, but a group of people with shared values working towards the same goal. Steamhaus is exactly that, and I’m really excited to see where that takes us in the next five years and beyond.’’
