Yorkshire candlemaker sales on fire with 500 per cent rise in demand

A Yorkshire candle making business has reported that it is investing in its expansion following a 500 per cent rise in demand.

Snug Aromatics, based in Huddersfield, is aiming to double its revenue to £250k as interest in aromatherapy booms during the pandemic.

The company is now on a recruitment drive and is investing in additional storage facilities to support the boom in business.

It has also launched a discounted ‘care package’ to help students living with lockdown restrictions.

Maureen Connor, founder of Snug Aromatics, commented: “People are worried for many reasons just now; avoiding illness, saving their business or job, protecting their families or just loneliness and isolation.

“It’s important to inspire a healthy mind as well as body in these troubled times.

“One of the biggest things that can invoke memories, apart from music, is scent.
