Data company acquires Renault HQ site to create energy efficient centre in London
A data centre company has announced that it has acquired a new London site to create a “state of the art” centre.
Ark Data Centres has acquired a West London site from Renault Retail, which has occupied the Park Royal building since the 1930s.
The purchase will see construction begin on the site in 2022, creating an energy efficient data centre which Ark says will open new opportunities to customers.
Huw Owen, CEO of Ark Data Centres, commented: “Ark is delighted to have been able to acquire this site from Renault Retail Group.
“Our customers have an expectation for us to be both socially responsible, as well as provide best-in-class, market leading data centres in the locations where we can have the greatest impact.
“This new exciting acquisition of Park Royal, our third in London, not only supports Ark’s own sustainability commitments but also empowers the customers we serve by helping them to honour their own carbon reduction goals”.
