Full house for Yorkshire retail park as final unit let
A Yorkshire shopping and eating destination has announced that it has filled all of its units.
Onyx Retail Park in Wath-upon-Deane, which is operated by family-run Onward Holdings, is running at full capacity and hosts a range of retail and hospitality businesses.
This comes despite the challenges presented by coronavirus and the UK lockdown.
The latest addition, Forever Sewing, joins retail brands such as Beauty at Heart, Barnardo’s, Vape HQ Manvers, as well as several fast food chains, including Costa, Domino’s Pizza, Greggs, Subway and KFC.
Figures from Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council show that the park has a high volume of passing trade - with 18,000 vehicles passing the site each weekday. Onyx Retail Park is also close to a new development of 1,100 homes.
Andrew Miller Chartered Surveyors of Sheffield, promoter of the site, commented: “Now that lockdown restrictions are being relaxed, full capacity at Onyx Retail Park is a reflection of the confidence retailers have in this bustling shopping complex and the opportunities for them to prosper.”
