Yorkshire Agency Celebrates One-Millionth Shift with Surprise Holiday for Worker
Leading nursing, social and health care agency, Local Care Force, has recently marked its one-millionth shift milestone, by rewarding the worker who completed it with a luxury, UK getaway.
The recipient of the prize is Sarah Holmes from Selby, who has been a member of the Local Care Force team for over 12 years. In recent months, and throughout the COVID-19 crisis, Sarah has worked tirelessly, at a dedicated service, to deliver essential support - in addition to caring for a family member.
Sarah commented on her win: “I’m so pleased to have won this surprise mini-break for my family. It’s been a tough few months but having something like this, to look forward to, makes a real difference”.
Sarah plans to take her family away to a rural, Cumbrian lodge early next year, where she will be able to relax and enjoy a private hot tub, swimming pool and wood-burning stove. In March, at the start of the pandemic, Local Care Force launched a nurse-led, COVID-19 task force. This focused effort was put in place to help workers, like Sarah, to feel more supported and be better equipped to provide effective care.
Leanne Silverwood, Local Care Force’s Managing Director, had this to say: “Since we opened our doors in 2004, we’ve been proud to supply staff to over 500 health care clients and find work for more than 4,000 care and nursing professionals. However, we are over-the-moon that Sarah worked our landmark, millionth shift. We can’t think of a more worthy recipient”.
Local Care Force is an award-winning agency with offices in Leeds, Sheffield and Manchester. It supplies workers to the nursing, health care and social care sectors and is the preferred partner to numerous private, public and charitable-organisations. It has just under 45 employees and over 1800 temporary workers.
