Mediterranean cafe embraces work-from-home trend with launch in London suburb
A restaurant brand is set to launch its ninth site after securing a lease on new premises in South West London.
Leisure property specialist Shelley Sandzer has announced that independent all-day eatery Megan’s has taken space for its newest venue at 38 Victoria Road in Surbiton.
Originally opening as an antiques shop in 2002 on the King’s Road, Megan’s has developed into a neighbourhood-focused café and restaurant, specialising in Mediterranean-inspired brunch dishes.
Comprising 4,300 sq ft, the new two-floor site will be the brand’s ninth, including the recently opened St Alban’s restaurant - Megan’s first venue outside London.
Nick Weir, co-managing director at Shelley Sandzer, commented: “There are opportunities aplenty in the London suburbs now.
“More people working from home and increasing efforts to shop and dine locally means we are seeing deals with great value for landlords and operators alike.
“Megan’s understands this and has an offer that suits – a quality neighbourhood-focused restaurant that will add to Surbiton’s appeal to locals.”
