Gateley Legal assists in deal to bring biggest office development this year to the West Midlands
Gateley Legal has assisted real estate development and investment company, Manse Opus LLP in a deal to lease land for the biggest office development this year in the West Midlands.
Cadent Gas will lease 80k square feet of prime office space for their new headquarters on Ansty Business Park in Coventry from Rolls Royce through their letting agent, Manse Opus LLP.
Joint MD of Manse Opus LLP, Richard Smith, said: “We’re extremely grateful to have had the expertise of the real estate and construction teams at Gateley Legal.
“Simply, they got on and delivered what was needed in a complicated and challenging transaction. They were practical and clear and their solutions driven approach to managing multiple parties and resolving complicated issues was instrumental in ensuring that the deal happened in such unprecedented times.
“Their dedication and commitment was both clear and refreshing.”
The Gateley Legal team was led by real estate partner, Richard Pettifor, construction partner, Amira Khan, real estate associate, Helen Davison, construction solicitor, Rohan Cordeiro and real estate solicitor, Harriet Burford.
Commenting on the deal, Richard Pettifor, said: “This is a unique deal in present times to have been a part of, as at the same time as entering the agreement for lease with Cadent, we also forward funded the project with Aviva, which is one of very few deals funded by retail since March.
“The team worked hard to get this over the line and deliver what I believe will stand as the biggest office development in the West Midlands for many years to come.”
