Local housebuilder brings tea-licious donation to Ayresome Court Care Home
Barratt Developments North East has been giving back to key workers in Yarm by donating an afternoon tea experience to Ayresome Court Care Home near its local Leven Woods development, to thank them for their hard work and dedication during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The housebuilder worked with local caterer, The Old Butchers, to have an afternoon tea hamper delivered to the door of the care home, contact-free, for 14 members of staff to enjoy. Delivered as a well deserved treat for the team and residents, the afternoon tea aimed to create an experience that alleviated some of the stresses experienced by everyone at the care home during lockdown and celebrate the fact the care home has remained Covid-free. The hamper contained a mixture of classic sandwiches, pork pies and sweet treats including scones and cupcakes.
On the donation Hayley Wyton, Regional Manager at Ayresome Court Care Home, said: “The COVID-19 pandemic has prevented our residents, and in some cases our staff, from seeing their families for a long time. The team at Ayresome Court Care Home has worked incredibly hard during the pandemic, even managing to keep the home free from Coronavirus throughout the pandemic.
“We had a wonderful afternoon enjoying the afternoon tea from Barratt Developments and want to say a big thank you for the donation!”
Gill Hurst, Sales Manager at Leven Woods, commented: “We are so pleased that the staff and residents at Ayresome Court Care Home enjoyed the afternoon tea donation. NHS and key workers in the UK have worked tirelessly to keep us all safe, and we are so pleased that we were able to create an experience that they could enjoy to thank them for everything they have done!”
Located in a semi-rural area, Barratt Homes’ Leven Woods offers a stylish collection of four bedroom homes within the historic market town of Yarm. The newly launched Radleigh showhome is now available to view either by appointment on the site’s Marketing Suite or by a personalised video call to showcase the quality of the homes available.
