Family owned business, John Good Group, is delighted to announce the launch of its brand-new website. The new fully responsive website is designed with a modern new look, user-friendly navigation and updated information about the 187-year-old company, now in its sixth generation of the Good family.
Alan Platt, CEO of the John Good Group, said: “We are delighted to launch our new website to showcase everything the John Good Group has to offer. Visitors can find everything they need to know about the Group, from our unique heritage to our diverse brands in shipping, logistics and travel. Visitors to the site will learn about the various companies that make up the John Good Group, the Group’s work in the community through the Matthew Good Foundation and the exciting range of employment opportunities currently available as the group prepares for Brexit. The website also tells the fascinating story of the 187-year heritage of the company, from the early life of their founder - whose values are still at the heart of the business today - to how they got their blue heritage plaque in Hull City Centre.
Tim Good, Non-Executive Director and 6th generation custodian of the family business added: “We are immensely proud of our heritage and to celebrate this, we have created an interactive timeline full of historic moments in our history, and that of our national maritime, trade and travel industries. From the birth of John Good in 1801, the story of the John Good Group is one of leading the way, overcoming adversity, building for the future and above all, acting on the values we stand for.”
For those interested in learning more, many of the artefacts and photos from the John Good Group’s history can be viewed in their company archives which are held at the History Centre in Hull.
