Sofa so good as Yorkshire furniture retailer expands premises and creates 40 new jobs
A Yorkshire furniture retailer has expanded its storage space and plans to create 40 new jobs.
Furniture and Choice has signed a long-term lease on a warehouse unit at Sirdar Business Park in Wakefield and plans to expand its team.
Thanks to a recent move to online shopping, the company has seen 150 per cent growth this year, with an expected turnover of £50m for 2020-21.
The growth and move to e-commerce will allow Furniture and Choice to create 40 new jobs following its storage space expansion.
Matt Jennings, commercial surveyor at Eddisons, which acted for landlord Sirdar Properties, commented: “It’s great news that we have been able to help another growing Yorkshire business find the space they need to prosper and create new jobs.”
Russell Morris, managing director at Sirdar Properties, added: “We’re really pleased to have partnered with the Eddisons team once again, securing another great Yorkshire company for Sirdar Business Park and bringing with it the very welcome prospect of new jobs for the area.”
