Leeds digital retailer breaks £1m turnover in first year of trading
A Leeds digital retail company has announced that it has achieved a seven figure turnover in its first year of trading.
SHIFT Marketplace has reported that its annual turnover has reached more than £1m, expanding its consumer client base to 22.
The team has said that it is now working on its next phase of growth, supporting existing partners with international expansion plans and onboarding new clients to support with 2021 growth targets.
It is also aiming to further expand its team.
Tom Bagnall, SHIFT Marketplace’s co-founder and commercial director, commented: “We’ve experienced an exceptional first year of trading.
“Our USP of employing marketplace thoroughbreds, who possess an in-depth understanding of retail, has provided critical cut-through in this growing industry.
“What’s more, our unique proposition and the clients we choose to work with, combined with a strong culture and work ethic, places us in an unparalleled position that’s not only significant for the current climate, but future-facing for both our own and our clients’ businesses.”
Steven Berke, co-founder and managing director, comments on the company’s plans: “Despite our rapid growth, it’s extremely important to us to retain the quality, service and results we’ve become known for as we continue to expand our business.
“In doing this, we will remain selective about the clients we work with, ensuring they share our vision and values, whilst maintaining the excellent culture we’ve created.
“2020 has been a big year for SHIFT Marketplace, and we intend to make 2021 even bigger.”
