Keep calm and play on: Barratt Developments £10,000 donation supports Middlewood Rovers Football Club

Local housebuilder Barratt Developments Yorkshire West has continued to support the communities in which it builds by donating £10,000 to Middlewood Rovers Football Club.

Located near the housebuilders Momentum development in Waverley, Middlewood Rovers has been a part of Sheffield’s landscape for 57 years and has a glowing reputation for providing a safe space for local children of all ages and abilities to practice football and develop in the game.

The £10,000 donation from Barratt Developments Yorkshire West will go towards the clubs application for a grant from the Premier League and the FA Facilities Fund.

Land and Development Director, David Coe commented on the donation: “We are always thrilled to be able to support local community groups across Yorkshire, and our donation to Middlewood Rovers Football Club is no different. This year we have all recognised the importance of community and the work that goes on at the club to create a fun space for local children to discover their love of football and make new friends is incredibly important.

“We’re really looking forward to seeing how this donation will help the club continue to do the incredible work it does, and look forward to cheering from the sidelines at their future matches!”

Chris Dennison, from Middlewood Rovers Football Club said: “The team at Middlewood Rovers Football Club are always grateful to have the support of local businesses. Over the years, we’ve welcomed a number of professionals through our gates to wear the blue and black, and with this donation and support from Barratt Developments Yorkshire West we can continue to pass our love of football onto the younger generation in Sheffield.”
