Norton Finance Supports Rotherham Toy Appeal in the run up to Christmas

In the run up to Christmas the staff at Norton Finance, a Rotherham based loans broker, are collecting toys and gifts in support of the Rotherham Toy Appeal, a campaign that aims to provide a gift for children who may not have anything to open on Christmas day. The Rotherham Toy Appeal is run by the charity Families First. The appeal aims to ensure that children in the Rotherham area, who may not receive Christmas gifts, have something special to open on Christmas day. Last year over 1,700 children received a present thanks to the appeal and the support of the Rotherham community. The staff at Norton Finance have so far donated over £200 worth of gifts for children of all age ranges. Fundraising efforts are set to continue, with an additional monetary donation from Norton Finance to be added. To support the appeal, members of the Rotherham community can take a tag from the Christmas trees in Parkgate Shopping Centre and purchase a gift. Those that want to support can also drop gifts off at the Rotherham Advertiser Office. Alternatively, there is a Just Giving page for people to donate. Mark Stringer, Director of Norton Finance, said: “Over the years, staff at Norton Finance have donated to different charities across the UK, and this year we wanted to help out those closer to home. We heard about the appeal on RB1 Radio and we knew we wanted to offer support. As we are a family-run business, the thought of a child having nothing to open on Christmas Day didn’t sit right with us, and we wanted to try and do our bit to make sure children have a gift to open from Father Christmas. We encourage people to take a look at the Just Giving page and donate if they can.”
