Bus routes serving Shotley Bridge, Consett, Lanchester and Durham get major upgrade
Go North East, the region’s largest bus company, has upgraded its X5 and X15 express routes that serves Shotley Bridge, Consett, Leadgate, Delves, Lanchester, Witton Gilbert and Durham.
The services, which have a frequency of up to every 30 minutes on common sections of the route, and have become part of Go North East’s comfortable, premium interurban X-lines brand.
The modern double-deck buses come with all the latest creature comforts, including free Wi-Fi, USB charging points, power plugs, next-stop audio-visual announcements and tables on the upper deck.
Go North East has also made recent improvements to its Consett to Newcastle express services, thanks to a £4.5million investment into new, clean, safe and comfy buses.
Weekly travel between Consett and Durham is available from just £20 on the Go North East app, with other options available to cater for all needs including flexible ticketing.
For those travelling further afield, a Go North East all zones ticket is available for just £25 a week on the app.
