South Tyneside e-commerce startup set for expansion with £1m projected turnover
A growing South Tyneside e-commerce startup is on track for a projected £1m in turnover in their second year of trading.
SaaS (software as a service) business Shoptimised has announced a recruitment drive as its turnover approaches the £1m mark.
Founded in 2018, Shoptimised works with a range of e-commerce brands and PPC to deliver Feed Management Software that aims to enable full control over a brand’s product feed optimisation on Google Shopping.
Since March, the firm has grown its team from seven to 20, and has secured contracts with national brands such as Schuh, Cotswolds Outdoors and Crocs.
Following a year of growth, the company plans to expand by recruiting 10 new members of staff.
John Cave, co-founder and director of Shoptimised, commented: “We’ve been incredibly fortunate not to have lost any staff and actually hired five new members during the pandemic and subsequent lockdown.
“We’ve adapted well to homeworking and will continue that indefinitely, and have begun hiring around the country so we can find the right specialists to join our business. As part of our ongoing growth some of the roles we want to fill will be European based.”
