Doncaster mixed-use development secures plot sale for Burger King drive-thru
A mixed-used development in South Yorkshire has secured a plot sale for the construction of a new fast food outlet.
Land and property regeneration specialist Harworth Group has sold 0.6 acres of land at Riverdale Park development in Doncaster to Erindale Ltd for the construction of a new Burger King drive-thru.
Erindale plans to construct a 2,800 sq ft unit at the site, situated adjacent to the A630 that connects Riverdale Park to Doncaster town centre, with the project scheduled for completion in spring 2021.
Riverdale Park is the long-term regeneration of the former McCormack Tractor factory site just over a mile from Doncaster town centre.
Harworth purchased the 112-acre former industrial site in December 2015 and later secured outline planning consent to deliver a mixed-use scheme at Riverdale Park, comprising 600 new homes and 200,000 sq. ft of commercial space, which is expected to be built out by 2026.
Peter Henry, regional director for Yorkshire & Central at Harworth Group, commented: “We are making excellent progress at Riverdale Park.
“The development will deliver the long-term regeneration of the site that we promised local stakeholders when we bought it in December 2015.
“We are also pleased to be adding Erindale to our list of occupiers and I look forward to welcoming others onto the site in 2021.”
