Oxbridge Forego Christmas Party To Support Local Charity
Birmingham based distance learning provider Oxbridge have taken the season of giving into their stride by donating the value of their team Christmas party to local charity, LoveBrum.
“2020 has been a bit of a write-off. As much as we’d love to cheer ourselves up with an office Christmas party, this year, that’s not going to happen.”
“The festive season is all about giving. In that spirit, we’ve decided to donate our Christmas party budget to LoveBrum.”
“We believe it’s a small sacrifice to make, and if we all join together in giving, we could make a difference to some great local causes. We hope this goes a long way to putting a smile on the faces of those who badly need it, and we’d encourage other organisations to do the same. Here’s to next year – may it be better in every way!” said Oxbridge founder Matt Jones.
This isn’t the first time this year that the company have shown their charitable side. During the first wave of lockdown Oxbridge created a £60,000 bursary to support those who had been made redundant due to COVID in retraining.
They’ve since followed this up with the Job Ready Pack, a partnership with Pertemps, Gleeson, and Hinterview that consists of multiple free online courses and resources to help those struggling to find work during the pandemic.
