Week2Week Targets Corporate Market with New Appointment
Leading North East short-term residential specialist, Week2Week Serviced Apartments has appointed Julie Inglis as Corporate Sales Executive, spearheading its bid to capture more of the lucrative corporate lettings market in the region.
With 13 years in the sector, primarily in her home city of Aberdeen, Julie is well placed to hit the ground running as Week2Week looks to boost its share of the short-term lettings market in Newcastle, where serviced apartments are increasingly seen as a convenient and cost-effective alternative to hotels.
“We have been looking to boost the team with a dedicated corporate business development person for some time, and Julie has both the enthusiasm and experience required for this crucial role,” said Claire Parry, Director at Week2Week. “Although this has been a challenging year for the serviced apartments sector, with changes to the traditional corporate travel market, our core business has held up well, which creates an excellent foundation for Julie to build on as we move forward.”
Julie’s specific brief is to raise awareness of the Week2Week brand both regionally and nationally, while building relationships with existing clients and working to attract new ones, with a view to raising occupancy rates across the company’s portfolio.
Julie, 39, commented: “I was on the lookout for a new challenge and also keen to remain in the serviced apartment sector, where I have in-depth experience of the competitive UK market. There is clear ambition for growth at Week2Week, which is already a well-known brand in the North East, and I’m really excited to play my part in the company’s future success.”
Away from the office, Julie is a keen traveller and proud owner of a vintage VW Combi camper van, which she enjoys taking around the coast of her native Scotland. She had planned to get married in August this year, although this sadly had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 virus. It wasn’t all bad though, as she managed to fit in a trip to the Highlands, where she tried Sea Kayaking for the first time.
Week2Week Serviced Apartments is a family-run business based in the Ouseburn area of Newcastle upon Tyne. With over 15 years’ experience in the serviced apartment sector, the company works with property owners across the North East, offering a mix of modern, city centre apartments and character properties, available from two nights to one year.
