Salford Distillery reports record sales as gin lovers shop local this pandemic Christmas
Salford Distillery SIS4ERS has reported record Black Friday and Christmas orders as gin fans shop independent this winter.
During its 40% Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekend the brand net three times more sales than 2019.
The gin makers have been inundated with orders working around the clock to meet demand from its webshop sales.
In response to tier 3 restrictions in Salford, SIS4ERS Distillery is currently hosting online gin tours and tastings, while restrictions keep their doors closed. The tours can be booked online and can be made bespoke for your group for the perfect NYE party.
Reflecting on the current tier restrictions in Manchester, Lucy McAvoy, Sales and Marketing Director for SIS4ERS Distillery, said: “We’re extremely disappointed that Greater Manchester remains in Tier 3. This not only has a massive impact on our own in-house hospitality and events, but also our immediate on-trade customer base who too are not able to open their doors and serve the public.
“Our tour and experience customers have been extremely loyal and patient, but the impact filters through our business. The work involved in postponing our events is immense, it puts pressure on an already limited resource, which in turn puts pressure on our business.”
She added: “To date, the Government covid-19 restrictions have been last minute and haven’t provided businesses with enough time to adapt or respond. We will continue to think on our feet in the most responsive way, to protect not only our business but our customer loyalty and reputation.”
Born and bred in the heart of Salford, ‘McAvoy sisters’ Kerry Collins, Hayley Robinson, Kate Haslam, and Lucy McAvoy first launched SIS4ERS Distillery in 2018.
This Christmas SIS4ERS Distillery has launched a limited-edition Christmas Spiced Apple Gin.
Today the gin makers produce a range of seven delicious, flavoured gins, available online. The Spiced Apple launch follows the limited edition ‘Home at 10’ peach gin which was released in the autumn to raise money for the hospitality sector.
