“Ambitious” Northern Quarter apartment scheme approaches completion
A new residential development in the heart of Leeds’ Northern Quarter is nearing completion.
MAC Construction Consultants has confirmed that work on Centenary House is entering its final phases.
Led by developer Avenir Homes, the scheme has included the refurbishment of the Grade II listed building into a collection of apartments.
First constructed in 1904 as a public dispensary, Centenary House will now comprise a range of studio, one-bed and two-bed apartments, as well as communal, workout, office, and meeting spaces.
The development also features a ground floor space to be used for retail, commercial office or residential purposes.
Barry Smith, director at MAC Construction Consultants commented: “This residential project is a significant addition for the city, as it has regenerated a beautiful building close to the centre of Leeds.
“It’s been a real pleasure to work alongside the Architect, Structural Engineer and Landstock, the Main Contractor, on this project from pre-construction to the finished project.”
