Chris Coley, Avant Homes Yorkshire managing director, said: “Subject to planning, we are looking forward to further enabling the regeneration of Waverley by delivering more of Avant’s popular design-led homes at our proposed new development.”

He continued: “Avant are looking forward to continuing to delivery on this wider development which is becoming more established every year.”

Avant Homes has been supported in developing its plans by planning and design consultancy Barton Willmore. As well as Waverley’s residential developments, the consultancy has also worked on the Advanced Manufacturing Park, and the University of Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre.

Jane Beckett, planning associate at Barton Willmore, added: “Waverley is Yorkshire’s largest brownfield regeneration site which is absolutely integral to the rejuvenation of this area.

“Waverley’s mix of residential and commercial development is really important to unlocking economic growth potential in the Sheffield City Region.”
