Belmayne extols achievements of learners

Dronfield-based Belmayne Independent Chartered Financial Planners is celebrating the achievements of a trio of rising stars who are forging careers in financial services.

The firm is helping three members of staff develop their skills through academic study, whilst gaining practical work experience.

Chris Pond joins Belmayne’s team of qualified financial planners, after successfully completing his diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. He began working for the firm as a trainee in June 2018 and has been mentored by partner, David Bashforth, throughout his studies. He is now beginning to grow his own client base, whilst continuing to assist David and expand his qualifications to achieve chartered status.

Melanie Coleman began working as a personal assistant to partner, Martin Birch, almost two years ago and is now a paraplanner, analysing client information and risk, conducting cash flow planning and preparing reports. She achieved the RO1 Financial Regulation and Ethics qualification earlier this year and is currently studying the RO4 Pensions and Retirement Planning module, which she hopes to complete by the spring.

Former administration apprentice, Melissa Taylor, has recently been offered a fulltime role at Belmayne, after completing a diploma in Business Administration with Chesterfield College. She is now beginning her professional development, embarking on the RO1 unit of the Regulated Financial Planning diploma, to develop her awareness of legislation and the industry’s code of ethics.

Belmayne partner, Martin Birch, said: “We actively encourage professional development among staff to further their own careers and ensure they provide an informed, first class service. We are very proud of all three of our learners for the dedication and commitment they are showing to their studies and we welcome Chris to our team of financial planners. He is a great asset to the firm and is now ready to provide sound, considered advice to clients.”
