ASOS to create 2,000 jobs with new £90m centre
An online fashion retailer has announced that it is set to create 2,000 jobs as it invests £90m in a new fulfilment centre.
ASOS, which saw a 329 per cent rise in annual profits last year, will open the new centre within the next 12 months.
The centre, just outside Lichfield, will mark the brand’s fourth, joining its existing locations in Barnsley, Berlin and Atlanta.
Nick Beighton, CEO of ASOS, commented: “We’re thrilled to be laying down the foundations for our future growth in Lichfield.
“This significant investment in infrastructure and large-scale job creation is a reflection of the confidence ASOS has in its future and the quality of the skills and talent available in this well-placed location.
“When fully up and running in 2023, the site will support our ever-increasing customer demand and enable us to develop our offerings and delivery capabilities even further.”
